Terms of Service

These terms cover website design and build work carried out by Veracod. They are written to be read, not to hide anything — if a clause here is unclear, ask before you pay, not after.

1. Who you are contracting with

Veracod is a studio operated by Jiale Chang. That name matters before you pay rather than after: an invoice from Veracod is paid to Jiale Chang, because they are the same person you have been dealing with.

2. What a build includes

The standard build is USD 500, quoted and agreed in writing before any work starts. It covers:

• Up to 4 pages
• Up to 60 content items (menu lines, services, products or similar)
• A layout that works on phones as well as desktops
• A map embed and your contact details
• Basic search-engine setup — title, description, sitemap
• The first year of hosting

Not included in the base price

Writing your copy from scratch, photography and photo retouching, logo design, multi-language versions and blogs. If you need one of these I will say so up front and quote it separately.

Available as add-ons

Reservations, online ordering and extra pages are quoted alongside the build, at the prices shown on the pricing section of the site.

One thing to be clear about: online ordering and reservations are integrated, not built from scratch. Your orders run through an established provider so they arrive in the system your kitchen already watches, your customers’ payments go straight to you rather than through me, and if that service has a problem at 8pm on a Friday it is fixed by a company with staff on duty. Building a bespoke ordering system for a site this size would put all three of those on one person in another timezone, and I will not sell you that.

3. Revisions

The price includes 1 round of revisions. A round means feedback submitted in one written batch within 5 working days of delivery.

Ten changes sent together are one round. Ten changes sent one at a time are ten rounds. This is not a technicality — replying to feedback piecemeal is the single biggest cause of a project running long, and pricing it honestly is what keeps the flat fee flat.

4. Acceptance

If 10 working days pass after delivery with no written feedback, the work is treated as accepted and the project is closed. You can still ask for changes after that — they are quoted as new work.

5. Changes to scope

Anything outside what was agreed gets a written change note stating the new price and the new delivery date. Work on it begins only after you confirm that note in writing.

6. Your domain, your code

The domain is registered in your name, with your email and your address, from the first day — not registered by me and transferred later. You hold the registrar account. I hold delegated access to do the work, and you can revoke it at any time.

You own the finished site. On request — during the project or years afterwards — you get the complete source files. There is no proprietary builder and nothing that stops working if you stop paying me.

7. Ongoing content updates (optional)

Maintenance plans are optional and can be cancelled at any time. Each plan includes hosting, SSL, backups and uptime monitoring; the plans differ in how much content updating is included per month.

Included time does not roll over into the following month. Work beyond the included time is charged at USD 60 per hour, billed in 30-minute blocks, agreed with you before it starts.

8. Payment

Once you approve the quote you receive a bill setting out the amount, what it covers, and how to pay. Payment is due as stated on that bill.

Bank transfer (ACH) — preferred, and free for you

A normal US domestic transfer, made from your own online banking using a routing number and account number. Your bank should not charge you for it. It is not an international wire and you will not be asked to use the international section of your bank.

Card

Available on request. Card payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, so I never see or store your card details. Because that provider charges a fee, the fee is shown on the bill rather than absorbed silently.

What I will never ask for

I will never ask you to pay by international wire transfer, gift card or cryptocurrency, and I will never send you new bank details by email partway through a project. If you receive a message appearing to come from Veracod asking for any of those, it did not come from me — call or email me on the details you already have before you act on it.

9. Ending the arrangement

Either side may end an ongoing plan with 30 days written notice. Fees already paid are not refunded, and you may request the complete source files for your site at any point, including after we stop working together.

10. Liability

I build the site carefully and test it before delivery, but I cannot guarantee specific business outcomes such as traffic, search rankings or sales. Liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the work in question.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the version that applies to your project is the one in force on the day you agreed your quote. I will not change the terms of a project midway through it.
